The worldview of the Dragon Metaverse is largely influenced by the Han mythological poetry on genesis: Epic of Darkness. It is a collection of tales and legends of primeval China, which was passed down in the mysterious Shennongjia region, Hubei province, and sung by folk singers mainly during funeral ceremonies when the "funeral drums" were played.
The Epic of Darkness is a vivid description of the formation of the world and the origin of mankind, incorporating many historical and mythological figures such as Chaos, the Prodigal Son, Pan Gu, Nuwa, Fu Xi, Yan Di Shennong, and Huang Di Xuan Yuan. As a living fossil of ancient culture, it is of great value for the study of ancient mythology, history, archaeology, literature, religion, folklore, etc.
But this work is not known to most people today. We are planning to start a creative project in our community, inviting our members to participate in the re-read, research, re-write and re-create of this epic, bringing it back to life in the 21st century.
