Envisioning Our Own Metaverse

Starting from Dragon City (Genesis), our future community will be built both on-chain and off-chain, globally and locally. In our view, it would be a joint world of different places, including future market, square, studio, classroom, museum, and playground, reshaping our perception and experience of space.

Imagine this: you can probably own anything you create in our decentralized digital world, whether it's a conversation, a video, a string of code, or a virtual building, and you can share your creation with your friends or exchange it for something you can use and own in real life.

In addition, you can take tokenized Dragon Pass to participate in local community events, or exchange personal properties for virtual assets such as cryptocurrencies or NFTs, which can be used to participate in online meetups or buy your favorite game equipment.

Or, you can choose to launch a crowdfunding project to make Dragon Cities appear on the billboard in Times Square, or create your own avatars and make movies based on our projects and sell it in our NFT marketplace.

Our Vision: To build a collective shared space beyond virtuality and reality, a second home for everyone.

As the technologies of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and the Internet of Things develop, we have the confidence to build a gate that links virtuality and reality as safe, trustworthy, intelligent, and interconnected; a fantastic Dragon Metaverse that inspires and empowers a wider range of people around the world.

The Origin

We believe that shared identity is very important for the construction of a shared virtual world. And as for Dragon City, the core of such an identity comes from two spaces: one is the planet we live on, from which human civilization originated; the other is where our future cities will be built, a space developed on blockchain technology and based on a consensus mechanism.

We find the roots that connect these two spaces in traditional Chinese Taoist philosophy. In the Chinese classic text Tao Te Ching, there is this quote that inspires us：

The Dao produces all things and nourishes them; it produces them and does not claim them as its own; it does all, and yet does not boast of it; it presides over all, and yet does not control them. This is what is called “The mysterious All-pervading power of Dao”.

This “All-pervading power of Dao” would also be the source of power for the decentralized Dragon world. Both the wisdom of the ancients and the technology of the future have enlightened us on how to face the complexity of the present. But decentralization is the way, not the purpose or value itself.

How DRAGON meets the Great Exodus

Before we started building Dragon City (Genesis), we tried to answer these questions: Can building a virtual world really make our life better? How can it bring benefits and happiness to ordinary people? What could crypto do FOR and WITH our best friends, our beloved ones? What do Dragon Cities mean to our community?

It seems that we are going through a period together where chaos and change, where uncertainty and opportunity coexist. In the first decade of the 21st century, the rise of social media has given us the ability to discuss, share and create. However, we also witnessed that users like us have been reduced to “digital refugees” in the information deluge, forced to give away our data, privacy and digitalized memories to those centralized platforms. Our online experience is completely dependent on the survival of these service providers.

Worse yet, our attention and time spent online are being exploited to generate value by the giants, who trained algorithms with data to decide what we like and what we believe. While our work and life are becoming inseparable from the internet as it evolves, we find ourselves trapped in a space that lacks authenticity, where truth is concealed, emotions are ignored, and thinking is not encouraged.

Nonetheless, as the second decade begins, we saw more and more crypto enthusiasts trying to build the next generation of the Internet through distributed, secure and transparent blockchain networks. And such a network can be built and owned by its users.

We also noticed that the composability and interoperability in DeFi smart contracts are leading to the expansion of imagination and wealth. And NFT, as a store of value and method of value transfer, is unleashing its potential to attract more people to join the movement. These crypto pioneers are opening up a whole new possibility of our symbiosis with the web.

CHI was born at this time. It carries our courage to make a difference. We are trying to design a new financial infrastructure and embrace a unique blockchain community culture that re-connect people and value. It is an ark to Web3, welcome to join our voyage.

Dragon Magical World - Dedicated to a culture of disruption

In order to connect our fragmented metaverse projects and experiences, a meta-story is needed: a brand new worldview that belongs to the decentralized Dragon world.

We decided to go back to mythology and start our story with it. Mythology is the first meta-story our ancestors created together, a story about stories. Without myths, the world is incomprehensible and it does not matter whether it exists or not.

We plan to resurrect the mystical beings of primeval times in our future cities. The creation of avatars inspired by Chinese legendary texts will bring Dragon City to life. Everything can be given new personalities, roles, narratives, and generate new social relationships.We will leave room for imagination and creativity to more people who are willing to create, share and play in a multidimensional world where the past and present coexist.

Data, whether it is personal or interpersonal, needs to achieve its proper value. With this in mind, we have more reason to believe that building a robust financial system and decentralized community will eventually help everyone achieve the maximum mutual self-interest in a world made of data.

It's time to redefine USER. When “data to earn” is no longer a dream, a user can also be a builder, player, learner, educator, developer, curator, creator, etc. And it could also bring new meaning to LABOR, ASSET, PROPERTY, and even COMPANY.
